01When and where does fog form?
Fog often forms on clear nights with high humidity and little wind, when air near the ground cools and water vapor condenses. Valleys, river areas and coasts are frequently affected.
High relative humidity and a dew point close to air temperature are strong indicators. Also check the humidity and dew point maps.
